Giclées

Giclée (definition): brings together traditional and modern processes, beginning with an image from any photographic medium. Polaroid prints through black-and-white and color negatives and transparencies to modern cameras which capture the image digitally, provide the raw material for Giclée printing. The selected images are scanned or downloaded to a computer and, with any of several image-handling software programs, are converted to digital files which are then printed out on a state-of-the-art inkjet printer. Life expectancy of a properly matted, framed and displayed Giclée print is estimated to approach two hundred years. My Giclée prints are all produced from original images which I have photographed in various traditional media over the past several decades.
